About John Henry Bed & Breakfast
John Henry Bed & Breakfast has a long history in Cherry Valley. Known as the Arcadia Bed and Breakfast for many years, owner Colleen Loughlin has breathed new life into this nineteenth-century home. When the bed and breakfast entered under her ownership in 2018, she knew she needed to honor her legacy and background, so she named it after her father, John Henry.
Although Colleen has updated this longstanding bed & breakfast, she has preserved its Cherry Valley charm. The home is built in the beautiful Victorian-Italianate architectural style, which dates the building to the post-Civil War era. Above its front door lies a round-headed stained glass window, which marks the influence of Italian design. Each room is lovingly and thoughtfully decorated in theme, invoking the charm of an intimate, personalized stay in scenic Cherry Valley.
At John Henry Bed and Breakfast, you can start your day with a lovely, home-cooked breakfast that we make just for you, using only the healthiest, locally-sourced ingredients.
Our inn sits among stately homes, upscale restaurants, and quirky shops — all a short walk from our bed and breakfast.
A stay at John Henry Bed & Breakfast puts you a short drive from the best activities the Cherry Valley and Cooperstown area has to offer, including museums, parks, craft breweries and distilleries, and, of course, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
